'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Sun Makes Apology To Nigel De Jong

Manchester City have confirmed that The Sun newspaper have today printed an apology to Nigel De Jong following an article published on the 16th October...

The Murdoch flagship's Neil Custis went to press with the "exclusive" headline 'De Jong's fun and games at City' 13 days after De Jong made a legal tackle which resulted in Newcastle player Hatem Ben Arfa suffering a broken leg. The tackle was not punished by the referee or The Football Association.

SUN APOLOGY:

'In The Sun last month, we ran a picture which showed Kolo Toure on the ground and a smiling Nigel de Jong dragging him up as a Manchester City coach raises his right arm at him following a training-ground tackle.

'We suggested De Jong was re-enacting and mocking the tackle which left Newcastle's Hatem Ben Arfa with a broken leg in a Premier League game.

'We now accept De Jong was not doing this and are happy to set the record straight.'

The Sun's dreadful bandwaggoning article remains on line, however:

How many times have this pathetic excuse for a newspaper had to apologise to City for printing absolute falsehoods about us? To the editor - GIVE IT A REST.

Stick your apology up your arse Custis, it's not worth the paper it's printed on as it's only a matter of time before you print more lies about City. Tosser.
Bluedub
These parasites will continue to fabricate and exaggerate and we let the majority of these insidious attempts to destabilize our club go without any action. City should begin filing lawsuits for every slanderous story - any damages can be put into the club to fight Platini's anti-City rules.

Manchester City has a very powerful legal team. 3 years ago, nothing would have been done.

If I see Custis round COMS i swear i will have to lunge at him, no problem. I fully advocate violence in some circumstances.
RobsonGreensleeves
You're a bad man Robson - how can you pick on such a mentally disadvantaged person as Custis? Tsk Tsk. ;)

Could be "Custis" last stand....or fall
