Balotelli Straight Red At West Brom Stands

MCFC have failed in the bid to see Mario Balotelli available for the Manchester derby following his booking and straight red card during the win at West Brom...

The Football Association have upheld the straight red card that the young Italian copped for after a hardly handbags scramble with West Brom's Youssouf Mulumbu who fell to the ground clutching his face and was later sent off himself.

In similar circumstances last season, the erratic FA repealed a red card for Rio 'Camel Gob' Ferdinand in order that he could face City in the League Cup semi-final.

FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION STATEMENT

'At a regulatory commission hearing today, a claim that the standard punishment is clearly excessive from Manchester City's Mario Balotelli was dismissed...As a result, Balotelli will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect.'
