Not even close and still above you by 3pts + better goal difference (despite the fact we can't score at the moment, we can defend). As for the poll it is right, Mancini played an attacking formation, we had 20 "opportunities", over 10 on target, Mancini could hardly come on the pitch and score for them.

And we haven't had injuries? We had much of our backline wiped out for a long time. How can I argue with someone who believes everything he reads in The S*n and company though. Provide me one reputable source that says Mancini's job is in danger and we'll talk further.

Tomo - you'd make a lot more sense if you posted in English. Then again, you are a Spuds fan, so perhaps you'll never make sense in any language.

tomo, what exactly are you basing that feeling on? Is it not true that players that aren't featuring regularly at ANY club are going to want out?

yeah I know what you mean bluedub, but I just mean going out and buy so many star players at the same time..... while the manager is still trying to work out his best team, (which to be honest none of you know do you?..) you might loose some players who you could of really done with...

One or two players may slip through the net, but the cream will rise to the top, the players that are good enough and have the right attitude will stay and we will be stronger for it. This is obviously a transition period that has seen such a massive turnover in playing staff, yet we are still in a good position despite this, it may take a season or two to weed out the crap, but like I said we will be stronger for it when it is. As for knowing the best 11, I reckon I've a fairly good idea at this stage, so I'm sure Mancini who works with these players everyday has a good grasp on who his best eleven are at this stage. He wasn't helped by injuries to new arrivals since the season began, but thankfully that's all coming together now and we should see the benefits of it.

yeah thats the main problem i think yous have, just waiting for the team to gel, because it goes without saying most of the players are absolute quality its just getting them to play well together. i just have a feeling every transfer window your gonna go out and sign another marquee player, disrupting other players and until you stop buying, and sort out what you've got you might find it hard. i reckon within the next 2 years or so spurs and city will both be up there...... dont suppose you would mind lending us a striker would ya as ours a naff lol

You're welcome to Jo or Crocky Santa Cruz if you want them. I personally don't think we're going to keep spending at the rate we have been as I think we have a strong squad in place now that may just need tweaking in one or two areas, as well as that the new UEFA rules will restrict us in the transfer market so I can see that particular problem sorting itself out. However if we sack Mancini then any new manager coming in might not fancy the players that are currently here and will want to bring his own in. If that happens the transfer merry go round starts again and we're back at square one. So, for me it's imperative that Mancini is given the time to get this squad properly settled and we will then reap the benefit of the massive investment made.

Mancini did select a more "attacking" team than usual. Though we only need one defensive midfielder at home and not two. The team choice was good, ashame about the negative tactics and the philophsy mancini imposes on the team. 1- the build up is too slow and their isnt a change of pace in the final third. We cant keep the ball in the final third long enough to create chances. Due to lack of support for our forwards.2- we baldly miss bellamys pace for the ball over the top. We need variety to our attack and bellamy was a good out ball. 3- full backs get forward, but rarely overlapp the wingers. 4- if we play 4-3-3 we only attack with the three forwards, if we play 4-2-3-1 we attack with only four players. City are easy to defend against = mark tevez. 5- We have no runners from midfield into the box because they are not allowed to and we dont have creative central midfielders. 6- every time we attack we have 6players behind the ball, at home?!??! Mancini could play 5strikers and we still would be boring to watch. Citys players look bored while they play, i cant blame them. With chelseas injuries, terry is now ruled out, arsenal inconsistanntcies and uniteds average form - city can win the league! Mancini is our biggest obstacle, so it wont happen.

SM - according to who are our central midfielders not allowed to make runs into the box? Could it not be the case that Mancini has instructed them to do it but due laziness and/or incompetence that this isn't happening? A lot of what you're saying is spot on in regards to how we're playing but is that down to Mancini's "negative" approach or the individual players failings? Not one of our attacking players namely Tevez, Silva, Milner or Johnson played anywhere near their best on Saturday, could that have something to do with us not scoring or creating many decent chances? For me Mancini got the approach to this one spot on and the poor performances from some let us and him down.
