'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clarets Loan Guidetti

Burnley have added 18-year-old hot prospect John Guidetti to their ranks in a bid to climb back into football's top tier in a one month loan deal.

The Swedish Under-21 international came to the attention of Burnley's management team after scoring a sublime hat-trick for City's EDS at Turf Moor in March.

'We noticed him against our reserves when we had a very strong side out,' said Burnley manager Brian Laws. 'He did very well and scored a hat-trick against us and ran our centre-halves all over the place.

'We couldn't believe how old he was. He's only a young boy but he's got a man's body and a mental strength.

'Since then we've been keeping very close tabs on him. We wanted to get him on loan to get a good close look at him and see if he could bring something else to us.'

Guidetti is eligible to make his Clarets debut against Derby County this Saturday.

Good luck to the lad.

Has continually impressed at youth and reserve level. Certainly looked dangerous in the EDS derby match streamed on mcfc.co.uk

Ah, that's it, I remember him now (DOH!).
Tudor
He's a very good young player, he just needs this chance at a better level than reserves. If he impresses, I think he may become our new #4 forward. Also, I love the picture at the top of this story, I still remember watching that game on TV. :D

So I take it that you guys rate him? I noticed that he's out of contract in Jan in one article is that correct? PS . I also love the picture - one of the best nights at Turf Moor for many years.
