City Star Nominated For FIFPro World XI 2010

Manchester City's star striker Carlos Tevez has been named on the 55-man shortlist for the Fifa/FIFPro World XI 2010.

The in-form Argentine was selected along with 16 other Premier League stars, including Gareth Bale, Cesc Fabregas and Steven Gerrard amongst others.

The Spanish Primera Liga pipped the English Premier League with 18 nominees, while Italy's Serie A has 15, the German Bundesliga has four, and France's Ligue 1 has just a single representative.

The 55-man shortlist was drawn up after players union members, numbering 50,000 professional footballers world-wide, were asked to name their top four defenders, three midfielders, three forwards and a goalkeeper for 2010.
