'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pulis Desperately Disappointed Not To Have Won

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis said he was desperately disappointed not to have beat Manchester City on Saturday.

In his post match interview the 52-year-old Welshman told the BBC...

'We played some lovely football in the first-half. I know which style of play our supporters have enjoyed - we played really, really well. I can't remember them (City) having a chance in the first-half.'

'You can have all the money in the world and all the top players but we played like a team today, as one. It takes a lot of beating, irrespective of who you're playing against.'

'We were desperately disappointed to not come in winning the game after our first-half performance.'

'When you're on top against one of the best teams in the league you have to take your chances - and that was the one thing that let us down today.'

'We've got to do better with our final pass and finish to get the results we want.'
