Assulin Signs For City

Former Barcelona teenager Gai Assulin has chosen to sign for City having trained with The Blues for a number of weeks thus finally ending any North London speculation...

The Arsenal and Spurs had been tracking the exciting 19 year old but their hopes of attracting the player down south were dashed as the midfielder signed a two and a half year deal at Eastlands.

Assulin told th'official site:

'I had heard a lot about City, and as soon as I saw the club I wanted to stay. I'm at a great club and I hope to be here a long time. I have to take my opportunity and learn every day in training.'

The Israeli international left Barca in July at the end of his contract.

Good news, at last.
Tudor
The lad plays in an attacking midfield role as I understand it. Another sound youth focused acquisition ahead of upcoming rule changes.
Johnny Baguette
Potentially one of the best play-makers in Europe on a free transfer - not bad going really! Barca will be kicking themselves that they let his contract run down.
