Mancio Captaincy Decision Imminent

Homesick executive-phobic Carlos Tevez has been holidaying in Italy and Tenerife as granted by Roberto Mancini but today must return to the club with the wages Real Madrid can't match...

While noises emerge from Madrid, following statements from Milan that the Spanish giants are unable to match Tevez's wage demands nevermind City's valuation of the player, it's a decision day of sorts at SportCity.

First, the striker has to decide whether or not he will go to Carrington and train for his employers after a week's holiday leave that he was afforded by the club during his 5 yellow cards suspension against West Ham.

Secondly, the City boss has to decide upon who will be his side's on field leader.

With the vast majority of an angry and frustrated City faithful calling for Vincent Kompany to take the armband, Mancio is in Italy himself following a minor eye operation waiting for the City squad to arrive for the final Europa League Group Stage game versus Juventus.

Mancio will attempt to speak to Tevez via the player's interpreter later today.

Ive lost alot of respect for tevez. Kolo toure should be given back the captaincy for the sake of harmony within the squad. Though i believe de jong or vinny would be a better choice. Kolo has had brilliant this season and when the big baby is subbed (tevez) he gives the arm band to tevez. Now on to the big baby... He claims a break down with excetives are causing him to leave - how many footballers in the world sit daily in the board room with directors? He probably would see marwood a couple of times at the training ground and pass cook in the corridor for home games. If he did had a dissagreement, so what! He plays for the club, manager, team mates and more importantly the fans. I believe tevez is lying in this instance. Also if he is really homesick like he claims to be, why was he spending a week in tenerife and not in argentina? Talking to real madrid? Isnt boca juniors and river plate in argentina where is kids are? So why are his representives talking about to italy and spain? If city are lying that tevez agents wanting to negotiate a 300k a week contract, why dont they threathen legal action? Because I believe they are looking to bleed the club for more money or benefit financially from another big move abroad. Im sure kia joorabcan is upset to hear that city have slashed agent fees to 50% now, he seems very eager to move tevez on or sign a bumper deal. They have picked the wrong club to mess with because of the owners wealth, we cant EVER be tempted to sell and we can afford to let tevez play in the reserves for the next three years. Im happy with the clubs stance by threathening to sue tevez and representatives if he retires or refuses to play. As fans of any footballer club, it would be foolish to lay so much emotional attachment to greedy selfish footballers anymore, no matter how good they are.

Arm band should go back to assistant captain, Kolo Toure, simple. If he wasn't popular as captain last season because of poor form that reason is now invalid because he's been excellent so far this season.
me_innit
Only issue with Kolo is that he played crap as captain last season. But he was being managed by Hughes and his staff for much of that, when our defence had no discipline or tactics whatsoever, and he has improved under Mancini to the point where he could be argued as a top 10-20 CB in Europe again now, so the captain's armband might not have a negative impact on him.
