City Face Aris Thessaloniki In Europa Cup

City Face Aris Thessaloniki In Europa Cup

Manchester City has been drawn against Greek side Aris Thessaloniki in the knockout stage of the Europa Cup.

The first leg will be played in February 2011 at the 22,800 capacity Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.

Other notable ties include Sparta Prague take on Liverpool while Rangers face Sporting Lisbon.

We should be able to reach the last 8 with the path we have but these tournaments always throw out curveballs so we will have to be wary and work hard.

If we can keep the key players fit we should go far in this competition. I can't see anyone to really fear (pity poor Arsenal drawing Barca today), so it looks as though it's in our own hands. The bookies seem to agree.
