The VMC Man of The Match No. 26 versus Juventus

The VMC Posse have spoken once again and flying City and England winger Adam Johnson is our Man of The Match from the crucial 1-1 final group stage draw at Juventus...

As previously mentioned on VMC, Johnno was playing under the dark cloud of having only days ago lost his best friend who had died tragically, Rushden and Diamonds keeper Dale Roberts.

Yet he played tremedously well, and his vital link up with the fast improving Jo helped secure the point that saw City seeded for the Europa League rounds of 32 and 16 draw.

I think that's the most effective 90 minutes I've yet seen from AJ. I'm glad he appears to have knuckled down and accepted that he needs to learn the Mancini way, as he's clearly improving under the tutelage of the Italian master too. If he keeps this up he'll be starting games on a regular basis in the near future. Hats off to Jo for displaying a hitherto unapparent level of professionalism. he scored baggfuls before he joined us, now that he's stopped partying and started training hard he's clearly improving too. We might actually have unearthed the player we thought we were getting when Thaksin shelled out all that cash!
