Reports: Vfl Wolfsburg Green Light City Džeko Deal

VMC understands from our contacts in Germany that the board of Vfl Wolfsburg have sanctioned the €35 million departure of striker Edin Džeko to Manchester City...

German newswires are beginning to filter the story out suggesting that despite late interest from erstwhile Europa League competitors Juventus offering a player plus cash deal for the giant centre forward's signature, the Wolfsburg hierarchy have settled upon doing business with The Citizens.

It is also reported that Džeko's agent Irfan Redzepagic has spent the week in Manchester finalising the player's personal terms.

Increased speculation is swirling around SportCity that Džeko's entourage will be pulling up on Ashton New Road tomorrow in time for the Bosnian goal machine to be introduced to the Eastlands crowd before the battle with Blackpool.

If Džeko and Luiz arrive then City will have as good a team as any anywhere.

Lets just not expect to much to soon from this fella, Yes he bangs in the goals but as we all know our league is much tougher than the german leagues and our defenders will take him out at every opportunity, Lets have patience and give the guy 6 months to find his feet (hopefully he will hit the ground running) I am very exited about seeing him in action though and hope to see him V the Arsescum

Very good idea to bring him in now, he should be totally firing at the start of next season.

We seem to have declined to make a bid for Luiz according to the Mail, after Chelsea had an 18m bid rejected. Could it be because Lescott has looked very good in the last two games?

I don't know what a Zepagic is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want a red one.
