Only 30% Of You Think Edin Dzeko Won't Join City

Our current Vital Manchester City front page poll question asks...

When will Edin Dzeko sign a City contract?

As of 6:55pm GMT on Sunday 2 January 2011 the vote looks like this.

First week in January - 46%
He won't sign - 30%
Second week in January - 16%
Fourth week in January - 7%
Third week in January - 1%

Talking about the Citizens signing one of the in-form strikers in the world first-team coach David Platt said...

'What's going to happen in January is we'll sit in front of press conferences fielding questions, some of them near the mark and some way off.'

'We've got a compliment of players at this football club that can make us competitive for the rest of the season, but if the club believes there's a bit of business they can do that helps us, not only this season but in the seasons to come, if they can do it, they'll do it.'

The Sun, Mail, and Telegraph all reporting the deal has been agreed. We got Wolfsburg down from 38m to 27m and will pay him approximately 100k/week (so says The Sun), which is significantly less than Adebayor if true, so if Adebayor and Santa Cruz (combined wage around 230k/week) are making way for Dzeko, that is a big saving on wages.
