Dzeko Green Light While Zaba Red Challenged

City's campaign to become an established top four side continues apace. An important season will now see striker options reinforced and a valuable utility man's suspension questioned...

The MUEN confirmed this morning that Vfl Wolfsburg centre forward Edin Dzeko has passed his medical and is all set to be unveiled by the club on Friday morning ahead of City's weekend trip to Leicester.

Meanwhile, City's very own bravehearted battler Pablo Zabaleta is the subject of an FA appeal by The Blues against the red card he received during the 0-0 draw at Arsenal.

Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna had become involved in a heated touchline clash in the 89th minute in which Sagna was clearly the more culpable with his repeated head thrusts towards the City player who stood his ground. Both players were sent off by referee Mike Jones. It was Sagna's second sending off in as many months and it is doubtful that Arsenal will also appeal.

The decision regarding Zabaleta, a key member of Roberto Mancini's squad will be made also on Friday morning.

Zab never lets us down. He now has over 100 City appearances. Top man.

Shocking call from the linesman that Zaba should walk along with Sagna. Despicable actions by Sagna as Zaba tried to put his arm around him in a gesture of goodwill as they left the pitch.
Bluedub
Typical Wenger reaction from Sagna - stick your head in someone's face then, after you've got yourself and the other fella sent off, refuse to accept the olive branch being offered by the bigger man. Wonderful Bacary. I bet your mother is very proud.
SkyBlueSuedeShoes
Should have been a yellow for Sagna and nothing for Zabaleta. There wasn't much in it. Football is getting softer and softer, Barry and De Jong both got carded for first offense tackles, especially De Jong's wasn't that bad.
StuMCFC
Anybody else see Fabre***** remonstrating with Mancio at the final whistle as well? They were like spoilt kids.
Johnny Baguette
Doubt the FA will bother reviewing Van Percie's elbow on Kompany. Arsenal are one of the dirtiest teams around.

And they've got the cards to prove it. Our players get booked for blowing kisses at the opposition. YCMIU!
