'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Audio: Gary Owen Bats Off TalkSport Presenters

Former Manchester City midfielder, Gary Owen handled Radio TalkSport drive-time presenters, Adrian Durham and Darren Gough with ease earlier today.

TalkSport's drive-time show interviewed the City legend following criticism from some quarters after Roberto Mancini's so-called defensive tactics against Arsenal last night.

Owen said...

'Should we go there like Chelsea and get turned over? The key was to not lose ground on our rivals, and we did that. And in fact gained ground on Spurs and Chelsea.'

'It's not realistic to win every game and sometimes you have to dig deep. Last year we beat Chelsea twice but were nowhere near winning the title.'

'One game doesn't make a season. It's about being better than last season and finishing in the top four.'

'If you can't win, don't lose. If you want to challenge, when you're not playing well, make sure you don't get beat.'

As the interview proceeds Gary gives Durham and Gough both barrels.

Nice one Gary.

Not hard to pin Gough down. The quintessential village idiot.

Gary Owen Legend.

Gary spoke sense and with alot of passion. By any chance did anyone hear danny mills interview on the day of the game, on drive time. He continued his spiteful city hatred by saying we were second by default, defence is shakey, mancini has problems with strikers, city are not good and will lose. What a bitter *****.

Who? More to the point, should we care? Getting the better of Talksport presenters is like trying to outwit a cage full of chimps.
Wyn Mills
Darren Gough is just a closet rag anyway. you know the type - not from Manchester but from a town woth a hopeless team. I know I'll support ManU. Gary called it right and Wyn Mills has written on enough blogs today. The bottom line is who achieved what they set out to do City or Arsenal. When Arsenal played United who achieved what they set out to do, United or arsenal? Do we see a pattern here? Yes Arsenal for all their supposed greatness and pretty football are serial underachievers. I'd sack Wenger!

You are such a bitter man Delta. Have you never heard the one about putting the spade down when you're at the bottom of the hole? Grief!

You are nobody to talk FCB. Remove the plank from your eye before you point to the speck in mine.

You can't fit a plank into an eye.
