The VMC Man of The Match No. 34 versus Leicester

The VMC Forums have sent up the white smoke to confirm City and England's Adam Johnson as our Man of The Match from the FA Cup clash with Svennis and Leicester...

AJ is growing in confidence and ability. There is no doubt now that the quicksilver winger with 30 City League and Cup starts and 7 goals under his belt has a very real chance of becoming one of England's future greats.

The Sunderland born 23 year old had plenty of positives to say about City this week. It's noteable that more players are talking about the team's aspirations for this season in their interviews as opposed to focusing upon themselves:

'Excitement is building and all the lads can feel it. We just want games to keep coming. Hopefully it will lead to us winning one of the cups or the league.
I'm sure teams are going to slip up. We've still got to go to Old Trafford and United still have some tough games as well. Some of our football is a different class and it all seems to be clicking for us. We're getting better each game.'

Johnson was in fine form against The Foxes whilst David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta and Carlos Tevez continue to impress with Aleksander Kolarov showing signs of improvement going forward.
