'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Real Madrid Put City Fans Out Of Their Misery

Real Madrid have announced they have reached agreement with Manchester City to sign Emmanuel Adebayor on loan until the end of this season, with an option to buy in the summer.

The statement on www.realmadrid.com read...

'Real Madrid CF and Manchester City FC have reached a deal that will see Emmanuel Adebayor play on loan for the former club.'

'The player will remain at Real Madrid until the end of the current season, at which point the club hold a unilateral option to purchase the player.'

In general Vital Man City members appear to be over the (Blue) moon with the news.

Buzz Lightyear - 'I hope this is true, we do have a class striker, but he blows hot and cold and like City we never know which one will turn up on the night.'

'Players like Adebayor need to be playing regular football and if the don't then they lose interest very quickly.'

kennyclementstach - 'This is one loan transaction that I'll happily endorse.'

Spooks - 'He'll be back.'

The similarities (when he had the ball at his feet) between Ade and 'Bambi on ice' has never failed to amaze me. Oh well, toodle-pip, (sniff) farewell and bye-bye.

who'd have ever thought we'd be shipping out a player to real madrid on loan

Never thought a player with such a good goal record for us could be so maligned. I'm not sure Adebayor can be called a "flop" like certain others (Santa Cruz) with what is basically a 1-in-2 goal record for us, but his attitude is so poor that Mancini felt it best to play the simply awful Jo ahead of him. I wonder if Mourinho will be able to handle his attitude. We really need a good 4th choice forward, I wonder if the Lukaku rumours could accelerate now as his agent said it could if City offloaded excess forwards and there is no one left now except Jo and the kids.
StuMCFC
His best moment for us was a goal celebration...................
RobsonGreensleeves
Have to say I will be glad to see him go ...he had become very lazy on the pitch in his last few games and seemed to have no commitment ...
Doody
Not really sure what happened to get where we are today. Certainly not a flop, and certainly not lazy like Arsenal fans tried to make us believe - he can run the full length of the pitch in about 10 seconds ;)

Another one season wonder costing how much?
TheFamousNo7
Less than 2 season non-wonder Veron TF7. An unfortunate and expensive consequence of managerial change if ever there was one. He started off his City career on fire under Hughes but unfortunately for one reason or another failed to convince Mancini of his worth.
Bluedub
He was a flop due to the price tag you payed. A loan move will do him good though, dzeko, tevez, balotelli, jo, silva and johnson can easily lead your attack so he isn't really needed.
P.Avfc
Flop? hmmm... I dunno. He has scored 1 in 2 in his time at City, not really the goal return of a flop. His contribution when he first arrived was invaluable, as without his goals we wouldn't have made as strong a start to last season( before Tevez got going ). He definitely played his part last season with his goals to bring us to that next level, unfortunately for one reason or another Mancini has lost faith in him.
Bluedub
25 mil for 19 goals seems like a bit of a flop to me bluedub.
TheFamousNo7
If we gt the rumoured 18mil off Real in the summer it will put a different look on that TF7.
Bluedub
more like a one game wonder TFN7.
Buzz Lightyear
Big if though eh bluedub?
TheFamousNo7
Why?
Bluedub
Why? He would have to be an absolute wonder at Real Madrid for them to buy him. With a striking contingency of Higuain and Benzema and if needed Ronaldo do they really need another striker when Higuain is back? 18 mil for a bench player to cover Higuain when he is very rarely injured, highly unlikely. The man can't even secure a place up front with Tevez!
TheFamousNo7
This is Real Madrid we're talking about, 18mil for a bench player is nothing new there. Benzema has hardly set Madrid alight with his poor goalscoring record for them. Adebayor has shown both at City and Arsenal that he can put the goals away. I'm not saying it's going to happen but I wouldn't describe it as a "big if" given Adebayor's capabilities.
Bluedub
Well, from my opinion, it is a 'big if'.
TheFamousNo7
He's better than Benzema with ease.
StuMCFC
RM nothing to lose, if he does well they get a good at times great player a lot cheaper I would think than we payed for him and if he doesn't do anything we get him back...
