Pearce No to Keane

Pearce No to Keane

Stuart Pearce today denied that City would be signing ex Disneyland, Manchester skipper, Roy Keane. Speaking to the official website www.mcfc.co.uk, Pearce said that City had had no contact with Keane or his agent. Pearce went on to say that he had simply said the club was always on the look out for good players when asked over the weekend about Keane.

Once again the weekend press reports linking Keane with City were little more than the written media falling for Pearce’s mischief making. Keane, for all his talent, would have found it hard to be accepted at a club that employed Alfie Haaland at the time that Keane set out to deliberately injure the player.
