Super Mario Lined Up For Cup Replay Comeback

No time to dwell upon what might have been in the Manchester derby. Inbetween packing his bags for Greece, Roberto Mancini has given an update on Mario Balotelli...

...and it transpires that the enigmatic young City striker is likely to play some part in next Sunday's FA Cup Fourth Round Replay with Notts County:

'Mario Balotelli can go on the bench for the next home game against Notts County.'

City are about to enter the most crucial fortnight of the season thus far and Mancio needs as many players fit and firing as is possible.

However, the sorely missed Nigel De Jong remains up on blocks with an ankle injury that we have yet to know the full extent of.

Mancio has confirmed that City's midfield warrior will play no part in The Blues' Europa League Round of 32 first leg mission to Aris Thessaloniki FC.

The sooner he's fit the better. He is one player who can do the unexpected for us
pedmachine
He would have scored yesterday I reckon. 8 goals in 11 games for us, a crying shame injury has blighted his first season as I'm not sure he'll be here for many seasons.
StuMCFC
I can't wait to see him get an extended run in the side. I'd suggest he might be benchable for the Aris cauldron but Mancini is probably thinking best not risk him in that powder keg.
Johnny Baguette
He'd cause a riot in Greece, better to wait till Notts County, which I think Bobby said is his predicted return date anyway.
