Could it really come down to another showdown with Spurs!?
Johnny Baguette
It isn't necessarily between us and Spurs, it could be Chelsea who miss out - what if the rags do the double over them or beat them once and draw the other?
StuMCFC
StuMCFC spot on. Last season the PL saw the demise temporarily of Liverpool which left it up to our Clubs to fight all the way into the CL. This season Liverpool are nearly back in the mix & surprisingly its Chelsea who are struggling to even get into the Top 4 let alone challenge for the Title. Unlike most Spurs Fans I can't see Chelsea beating Utd which would keep a 2 point gap between them & us. I still don't think City have enough about them to compete for the Title or comfortably secure CL this season but out of the competing Teams for the CL I see both our Clubs as favourites to do so. I find it comical though Mancini having the audacity to say due to 3 injuries your VAST Team will now struggle ! Please, your the only Club with more Midfielders then us ! Not to mention we've been without JD, Modric, King, Daws, Bale, VDV, Kaboul, Gallas, Thudd, Charlie plus others I can't think of right now for substantial portions of the season. & we're pushing all the way so to try & come out with an excuse like that is pretty embarrassing, unless he was being ironic !
True Spurs Supporter
In an ideal world Spurs finish 3rd securing automatic CL group stage. City finish 4th. Liverpool 5th to ***** off Torres. Chelsea 6th and Abramovic realises that he has better things to splash £50million on and puts down his classless toy and goes back to Mother Russia.

I thi9nk they just dismiss us as anything serious, a win at Chelsea, might just wake them up.

TSS - Mancini is not using it as an excuse, he is simply bemoaning the fact that he has a few key players injured at the moment. We don't have more midfielders than Spurs mate. We've had our fair share of injuries this season also, Balotelli, Koarov and Boateng all missed a substantial portion of the first half of the season along with other minor injuries to a few others. Like I said before it's not an excuse because there's nothing to be excused, we are having a great season so far.
