VMC Man of The Match No 44 versus Aston Villa

VMC Man of The Match No 44 versus Aston Villa

Back to the footy and the brilliant David Silva is bang on course to becoming Vital Manchester City's next man of the season. He's the VMC Forum's latest Man of the Match...

VMC's robinwho? summed the silky Spaniard's contribution to the dismissal of Villa in our City Chat forum:

'From the first minute to his last David Silva ran the game, inventive, committed, silky skills and his ability to find acres of space and make use of it, he has to be my MOTM and unless someone does something extraordinary between now and the end of May he will be my MOTS (man of the season).

'I will never tire of watching him when he is on this form. Villa must have felt like City had 12 men on the pitch at times trying to keep track of him. If he can keep this up until the end of May I truly believe 35 years are about to end!'

Meanwhile, the share of the vote elsewhere backs up what was a good team performance.

He's one of the best playmakers in the world and would even fit into Barca's team seamlessly. 24m is a bargain for him, a player of this quality is rare and single-handedly can run a team.

As I said in the Ped Report, one of the best players I've ever seen in sky blue...and I've been watching a long, long time!
