FIFA Ban The Wearing Of Snoods

FIFA Ban The Wearing Of Snoods

Earlier today, Saturday 5th March 2011 FIFA, the worlds football governing body announced the wearing of snoods in matches will be outlawed from 1st July 2011.

A FIFA statement read...

'The IFAB agreed that in relation to Law 4 - Players' Equipment, the wearing of snoods should not be permitted.'

A FIFA representative had said last month that snoods could prove dangerous to the wearer if grabbed by another player.

Is this Health & Safety gone mad?

Couldn't care less tbh. My concern with FIFA is when they are going to deal with more serious issues like goal line technology and the corruption that is rampant within their organisation.

They have been wearing snoods for ages, how many times have fouls been given for grabbing them?
