Blues Can Expect Freezing Temperatures In Kyiv

Manchester City's next opponents in the Europa League knockout stage on Thursday 10 March 2011 is Ukrainian side FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Dynamo's home is the 16,900 capacity Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium however, few Blue are expected to travel to the former Soviet Union due to the cost implications and of course, freezing temperatures.

While millions of us cosy up in front of a warm fire to watch the match on ITV4 HD those who dare to venture into a far-flung part of the world can expect snow showers and brass-monkey temperatures.

Just a thought but I wonder how many players will be wearing snoods prior to ban which comes into force in July.

Thanks for that hanboy888. I've amended the article.

I've got my snood ready, my thermals, ear warmers...the lot!! The FA tell me that last Wednesday it was -13c in Kiev. Maybe it's frozen chicken for dinner!

How many Blues do you think will make the trip Pedmachine?
Tudor
I think at present there is one plane load on the Official Trip and the usual one from Sports Options. I think we are only looking at around 400 tops.
pedmachine
Think we may lose this one to be honest. Tired players and in freezing conditions in a hostile Eastern European stadium. If we do lose hopefully just by one goal so we have a chance at home.
