Is The Treble Back On?

With certain Premier League results going our way at the weekend is Manchester City's treble back on?

Europa League

The Blues play Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday and if all goes according to plan the final in Dublin looks ever closer.

FA Cup

Reading travel to the City of Manchester Stadium on Sunday and a win for Roberto Mancini's men will mean a semi-final appearance at Wembley.

Premier League

MCFC currently sit in third place on 53 points, seven behind leaders Manchester United - both sides have played 29 games.

City has nine games left to play and should results go our way there is a real opportunity of winning the title. Fanciful thinking? Perhaps but anything can happen.

Premier League fixtures

20 March - Chelsea (A)
3 April - Sunderland (H)
11 April - Liverpool (A)
17 April - Spurs (H)
25 April - Blackburn Rovers (A)
1 May - West Ham United (H)
7 May - Everton (A)
14 May - Stoke City (H)
22 May - Bolton Wanderers (A)

I'm afraid not.

Well, it's not mathematically impossible, but the way our players are running out of steam at the momment doesn't bode well for the League or cups I'm afraid. Bit of good news on the injury front might see us sneak back into league contention, particularly if the gooners keep misfiring and the rag implosion carries on - nicer to be looking above us in the table than below for sure though!

We'll only achieve great things if we think like great people. Sounds like one of those ********* american style messages dotted around the training ground but its true. Lets hope the players are taking them in.

Was it on Feb 5? The team at the top was unbeaten for millions of matches and were playing the team at the bottom. Which team won? Another team from the top was playing a much poorer team and were leading 4-0 at half time. What was the outcome? Strange things are happening!!!

Premier League - no chance. Europa League - fair chance but fixture congestion could easily see us knocked out by a good team like Kiev. FA Cup - strong chance is we avoid the banana skin known as Reading.
