'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mancio Calls For Cautious Approach

City boss Roberto Mancini's Europa League presser was tinged with caution today as he gears up to guide City through the last chance saloon tie with Dynamo Kiev...

Garbage defending was the undoing of City's first leg masterplan in the Kiev ice last week and it's clear Mancio is in no mood to tolerate a repeat:

'It's important we play as a team, very strong. Dynamo Kyiv will play on the counter-attack and it's very important that we pay more attention.'

City's supporters are baying for goals yet the shrewd City boss has moved to calm any potential anxiety:

'I think that we should play our game and not concede a goal...I don't think that we should start the game trying to score, score, score. - It's not important to score after five minutes or half an hour.'

And it's those loyal supporters that Mancio is calling upon to raise the Eastlands roof once more as City aim to pull off a famous fightback:

'It's important our supporters will be very close with us, like they were in the Reading game. Against Reading, it was very important for us to have all the supporters behind us.'
