Mario: Taggart Points To Rag Scouser For Way To Go

Eastlands regular Sir Alex Ferguson has called upon Roberto Mancini to give 20 year old Mario Balotelli more time at Manchester City with a tragi-comedy twist...

The enigmatic Balotelli has undergone an erratic start to his career in England to say the least. Bookings, sendings off, superb goals and numerous unwanted exploits on and off the pitch have seen him lauded and savaged by fans, pundits and hacks alike.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport United's currently touchline banned example to us all offered up words of support to City's big Italian striker:

'...time is needed for Balotelli. He is a very emotional player, just like other youngsters that have a high potential.'

Ferguson chose to highlight Evertonian Wayne Rooney and the lorry load of baggage that he drags around with him as an example of what can be achieved:

'Even Rooney was like that, with an explosive character, with so much will to do things that he overdid it. Now Rooney is 25 and he has matured a lot.'

As the foul mouthed England World Cup fans critic Rooney hysterically shrieked into the television camera and a watching chavalanche of adoring kids at Upton Park last Saturday, all he was lacking was a black hood and a BMX.

Hardly the role model his manager desperately tries to make him out to be.

I hope Balotelli doesn't turn out like shrek did. At least Balotelli blames himself for bad games instead of the ref, linesmen, teammates, fans, the pitch, the stadium, the weather, the other team (for not letting him score), the goalposts, the stands themselves, the net, the cameramen, the broadcast team, the stewards, his mum and dad, his wife, his car, his breakfast, or the government.
