Edin Dzeko Has Done It Before & Will Do It Again

Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko has a history of scoring goals for fun, however, for some reason the 25-year-old forward is currently suffering from a Premier League goal drought.

The Bosnian striker was a sensation during his four year stint at Wolfsburg, scoring 66 goals in 111 appearances but since his £27m move to Eastlands in January Bosnia's first UNICEF ambassador has found it difficult to find his form.

Edin Dzeko's Top 10 Goals

A couple of days ago City boss Roberto Mancini touched on the very subject:

"It is difficult for him, it is difficult for me, but it can happen when you change teams. It is important he works hard, only this."

"I believe Edin is one of the top strikers in Europe but sometimes incredible things happen to strikers. You can score, you don't know why."

"On the other hand, Wayne Rooney did not score for months, the same for Fernando Torres. This is an incredible situation for a striker but I am sure next season Edin will be fantastic for City."

"Now we have six games and the FA Cup final and Dzeko can score important goals in this time."

Edin Dzeko has done it before and will do it again, surely?

Well, he's not actually playing at the moment so can't end his drought. The #1 reason he hasn't scored is not his ability but the lack of service he has gotten. I can count 2 or 3 times when a simple pass would have given him a one on one, but someone (usually Tevez) wanted glory for himself and shot.

Hey, even Torres ended his drought today - and Edin isn't an injury ravaged shadow of his former self like Torres is, so there's hope for him yet!
