Blues Expect A Massive Summer Clearout

The Premier League season is slowly drawing to a close and with that comes the transfer window. Manchester City on the other hand is no different from any other club and we, the fans expect a massive summer clearout.

Throughout the summer months we at Vital Man City will focus on rumour and conjecture surrounding players coming into the club but for the time being we'll spend a little time speculating on who we think will leave.

The subject is being debated via our City Chat forum nevertheless I think it's worth highlighting some of what is being discussed.

PhillyBlueMoon - 'Here's my list, feel free to rip it apart if you want:'

Tevez - £30m - £45m
Adebayor - £15m - 20m
RSC - £8m (?)
Bridge - £3m
Bellamy - £2m

StuMCFC - 'All of them look poised to leave but it looks like quite a few others will follow:'

Given - Wants first team football and we can't deny it him anymore. I think we may buy Hennessey (ex-City academy lad) from Wolves as his replacement. Should be able to get a decent fee for Shay. £5-6m or so.

SWP - I can't see him having a future here when we could go and buy a random winger from a random league who would have as much impact for half the wages. I don't think sentimentality from the club will save Shaun as we need to cut some of the expensive fringe earners. £3-4m.

Vieira - I'd expect him to leave on a free or retire. Suppose one more season is a slight possibility.

Jo - Surely the experiment ends this summer? Guidetti or even Bunn from the EDS would have equal or more effect and they earn peanuts. £2-4m

Logan - Why he's still at the club is puzzling. He isn't a bad player and should be able to succeed at Championship or League 1 level. A 23-year-old, who will be nearing 24 by the end of the summer window, most of our youths would have been moved on by now if they weren't going to make it. Free transfer or small fee.

Onuoha - While I would like to see him succeed, he burnt his bridge with Mancini so if Mancini stays I think Onuoha's move to Sunderland will be made permanent. £4-6m

The above comments are only a snippet of what VMC members are saying. The forum thread can be found here and as usual we would love to hear what you have to say.

Coming from a Spurs fan, I'd love to have most of those players but it is almost impossible to get them as the City board claimed you won't sell 2 rivals. But, it wouldn't be wise to sell all of them, as what makes you guys City is that you can count on having a decent back up side.

I think Given will stay myself and after hearing on the official site so much of how much an impact Vieira has on camp, I can see him staying for another season even if he doesnt get half as many games. Swp may want to stay here forever but i dont think Mancini will let him.... If Jo stays ill eat my grandmother.
