Mancio Out To Beat Spurs

Mancio Out To Beat Spurs

As the most important week in Manchester City's history for many years dawns, dapper City gaffer Roberto Mancini confirms that The Blues will aim to beat Spurs on Tuesday night...

'The Tottenham game will be very hard but I think we have no problem for The Champions League because we have three games to play and we only need three points.

'It will be difficult. Tottenham is a fantastic team, but if we beat them, it's finished.

'If we want to close this situation we should try to win.'

Should The Citizens see off what remains in the Spurs tank as the end of a gruelling season draws nearer, then Mancio will take his squad to Wembley to face Stoke knowing that the club's primary objective of attaining Champions League football next season is secured.

Would be nice to get the Spud piggy off our backs. I think with Bale, Thudd and possibly Modric all out injured, it's a good chance to put this to bed. If we make CL and bring in some speedy tricksters down the flanks, I think we'll do well in the competition and the EPL next year. Spurs failure was down to Arry's inability to use the depth of his squad to his advantage. He's far too loyal to underperforming players. By the way, if that was Mancini appearing on MOTD2 after effectively throwing away any chance of CL qualification and after a run of results like Spurs have had to endure against relegation battlers, i would be calling for his head. Harry has some bottle.

Last season's defeat was a hammer blow and certainly the faithful will be going all out to raise the roof in order that it doesn't happen again. What price Tevez leads the team out?
