Nothing Ever Lasts Forever Blues

Nothing Ever Lasts Forever Blues

Stand firm, Planet Blue. Odds and Stats have piled up against us over three decades. Time to remind ourselves that we can now turn the tide and we have the tools to do so...

The strongest Manchester City squad in many years finds itself on the brink of a historic double achievement that nobody could have imagined possible in 1999 with our club languishing in the third tier of English football.

We go into battle this week with no trophy in 35 years and the knowledge that we have been defeated by Tottenham in 11 out of the last 13 Premier League fixtures against the North London side.

Beat Spurs and Champions League football comes to East Manchester later this year.

Much has been made by the anti-City brigade of City's defeat at Everton, but never forget that Spurs have won only 1 game in 12 competitive fixtures.

Much has been made by the anti-City brigade of the rags imminent title win overshadowing a City FA Cup final win at Wembley.

But the truth is that if we win the cup, it will be the fact that their swamp banner has been ripped down against all previous conceivable odds that will rock their smug world.

Nothing ever lasts for ever and Manchester City are about to prove it on two counts.

JOHNNY MARR APPEARS AT CITY SQUARE TUESDAY NIGHT:

Guitarist Johnny Marr, City defender Jerome Boateng, and local band Supra, will be special guests for tonight's super 'Live From City Square' for the Spurs game.

They'll be alongside the ever-popular Fanzone Danny in a great line-up for another sensational free show hosted by top anchorman Hugh Ferris and former Blues favourite Nicky Summerbee.
