Micah: We Have Shut A Few People Up

Long serving City speedster Micah Richards takes great pleasure in revealing that the City squad are out to silence a legion of critics...

The 22 year old MCFC Academy graduate who has over 100 senior City appearances under his belt said of City's Champions League achievement:

'It has shut a few people up. We always wanted to answer the critics. We have invested in some quality players who have shown what they can do.

'Hopefully we can do a bit more shopping in the summer to make us an even better team.'

'A lot of people have put us down and said we were not good enough to reach the Champions League but we have proved people wrong. As players, we know what people say. They are always having a go at us for spending money, but look at us: it has worked.'

Richards follows a lengthy line of City players who this season have focused much more upon the ambitions and aspirations of the team in interviews as opposed to droaning on solely about themselves.

Should City's 'mercenaries' secure the FA Cup on Saturday, it would represent a very sweet victory indeed for a squad who have forged a siege mentality.
