Shoot To Thrill

Before the final Premier League games kick off the goal difference between Manchester City and second place Chelsea stands at 12. As you would imagine there are various permutations but if City hammer Bolton at the Reebok Stadium and Chelsea trip up at Everton then Roberto Mancini's men could finish the season on the same number of points as the Stamford Bridge lot. However, I come back to my original point and the 12 point goal difference.

City go into the game at Bolton riding a crest of a wave. Our form and confidence is at an all time high and so why shouldn't our players go all-out. A Champions League place is guaranteed but the final PL position makes all the difference.

I'm sure the Citizens will be professional and of the course the main aim is to claim all three points but if the opportunity arises how about the players consider the philosophy of 'shoot to thrill'? The crowd will love it and you never know how many balls will hit the target.

Shoot To Thrill

Because of the headline I couldn't resist the temptation of adding an AC/DC song. Sorry!

Chelsea play Everton not Fulham.

So I've been told via the forums jackblue. I need my eyes checking (doh). Article amended.

Tudor, are you seriously suggesting that there is a realistic chance we will make up the 12 goal difference in one game? The worst case scenario for Chelsea will be that they get beat by one goal, which would leave us free to 'cruise' past Bolton with an 11 nil score line. Away. From. Home. You're still drunk from last Saturday mate!!!!
Spooks
I agree Spooks 11-0 to us is just plain silly .......however 6-0 to us and 6-0 to Everton ????????
Doody
If that happens, then 2012 and the alleged end of it all, bring it on!!
Johnny Baguette
We want to ruin your 3rd place dreams.

Anything can happen Muur.

I don't think the intent can be that great if Wanderers keep dishing out extra tickets City's way!!
Johnny Baguette
Only 9 goals short. :D But what a great season, joint second, FA Cup winners, automatic CL qualification. FORZA MANCINI!

The article was 'tongue in cheek' but what the hell. Now turn up the volume and enjoy AC/DC giving it rock-all. Hell yeah!
