'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ian Ladyman Is The Font Of All Knowledge - NOT!

Sports journalist Ian Ladyman from the Daily Mail wrote...

'Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini flew to Abu Dhabi for talks with chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak as his relationship with Garry Cook and Brian Marwood continued to show signs of strain.'

Ian Ladyman

How does Ladyman know about a strained relationship between Roberto Mancini, Garry Cook and Brian Marwood?

Ladyman continued...

'Mancini will try to convince Khaldoon of the need to spend ambitiously on at least four players this summer, rather than follow the more cautious approach recommended by the club's chief executive Cook and football administrator Marwood.'

Not too sure were he got the figure of four new players but hey, I won't argue the point.

'The meeting will also be attended by Cook and Marwood and Mancini sees it as his chance to air his increasing frustration with them and assert his authority over transfer plans.'

Authority, what authority. Khaldoon Al Mubarak is the Chairman, Roberto Mancini is the manager, Garry Cook is Chief Executive and Brian Marwood's role is Football Administration Officer. Everyone is well aware of their position within the club and I can't see MCFC professional having to assert their authority over anyone.

And there's more...

'He (Mancini) will tell Khaldoon that City must buy a central defender, a right-sided midfielder, playmaker and striker.'

Tell or ask. There is a significant difference between the two.

'Although Mancini's relationship with Cook and Marwood remains civil, it is understood that it is worsening.'

How does he know this? Is Ian part of the News of the World list of employees or former employees involved in alleged phone-hacking?

The article continues here...

I have nothing against the Daily Mail or Ian Ladyman but I sometimes wonder where these sorts of articles come from.

Have I gone too far?

Is this article in the public interest?

Is Ian Ladyman a muppet?

We don't call it the Daily Fail for nothing ;) Just like most of the press, they take a bit of unappealing truth and add a bucket load of razmataz to it to turn it into a 'story' for idiots to buy in to. Yes Mancini, Cook, Marwood, and Al Mubarak have had/are having talks in Abu Dhabi regarding next season's purchases, targets etc... It's nothing fancy, it's what EVERY CLUB in te world does at the end of the season. That is as much as anyone knows, anything more than this is utter tosh in my view.

Ian Ladyboy is a City hating muppet who is seemingly paid to invent destabilizing lies about our club. MEN has already confirmed there is no conflict, this is all made up and is the customary end of season meeting to discuss transfer targets and budget.

You have nothing against the Daily hate Mail? Might I ask why not? Everyone knows that paper gives you cancer. http://www.qwghlm.co.uk/toys/dailymail/

I don't hate anyone or anything fifth. I was just trying to point out my observations to others.

I suppose but so does smoking and I still do that. Wish I could quit.

Das Daily Mail long had "insiders" at City but things have tightened up considerably. Ladyman isn't as anti-City prolific as a Mr. Henderson-Freelance who has written some scandalous articles but his efforts here underline the new angle. Ruining football, Infighting mercenaries that will never gel and won't win anything stories have all failed. Now it's time to go after the management. Pathetic straw clutching.
