'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Marvin Martin CyberTransferred To City By Cousins!

Marvellous Marvin Martin, FC Sochaux's cunning creative midfielder and stunning French international debutant has revealed that The Citizens are in his family's thoughts...

In an exclusive interview with la Republique's excellent footy webzine foot365, the 23 year old playmaker who burst onto the international scene this week starring in Les Bleus' 1-4 friendly tonking of the Ukraine spoke of his love for Sony's Pro Evolution Soccer and where his cousins reckon he should play.

'It's always been PES for me since I was a kid. I often play as Real Madrid, Barca or Chelsea. But I always represent Sochaux when I play with my nephews. I have never transferred Marvin Martin. But my cousins have and they always call me to tell me where. The last time it was to Manchester City!'

Er, a veiled come and get me Mancio?!

Arsene Wenger commentated on France's fine win in Donetsk and was drooling as two goal Martin came in for the full 'next Zidane' treatment. With some justification.

Though a far from reknowned goalscorer, statto's at France Football magazine, La Bible du Foot confirmed the man they call 'Monsieur Caviar' as Ligue 1's most prolific assister of goals over the past season.

Expand that onto a Europe-wide basis, and Martin's providing record this season is only surpassed by Messi and Nani. He's level with Tiffert and Ozil and ahead of the likes of Fabregas and Alves.

Under contract with the Sochaliens until 2014, the Parisien born Bleu is coming under increasing scrutiny from Champions League club scouts yet pledges:

'I live day by day. I have no career plan and I don't predict the future. For now I am Sochaux's.'

For his predictable part, his agent, Mr. Jean-Marie Cantona reckons the time is right for Martin to move on. He told France Football:

'It's clear in his head; Marvin wants to leave...it's time for Marvin to move to the next level, to take a step. He needs to be at a club with long-term prospects that would allow him to grow.'

Without a shadow of it, should Martin continue to realise his enormous potential, he'll be plying his trade on a bigger stage imminently. Who knows, his cousin's computer agenting might yet become a reality...

Oh dear, the mere mention of Manchester City and a young, inexpensive French prospect in the same sentence will have Monsieur Wenger tearing his hair out LMAO!

Even if Marvin is not making any plans it certainly sounds like Mr. Jean-Marie Cantona has started and City looks to be his target.
