For The Love Of God, Ade Wants City Stay!

For The Love Of God, Ade Wants City Stay!

Emmanuel Adebayor appears to be happy to return for pre-season training with Manchester City and here's me thinking we might have seen the last of him.

Hopes were raised when this time last year Real Madrid took the 27-year-old striker on loan, however, now it appears any possible transfer deal with the Spanish club has gone cold.

The latest news to brighten up my spirits was when Russian club Zenit St Petersburg came sniffing but now the Togo international has turned them down.

Talking about the possible move Adebayor said...

"If I have to go to Man City, I will do that with pleasure and if I have to stay in Madrid, I will stay with pleasure. What is important is I want to play. But I want to make it clear there is no chance of me going to Zenit."

"I love the country but I don't think I can see myself playing in Russia. I don't have anything to prove to anybody in football."

"I have scored important goals and played in big games so for me, in my head, I don't have any pressure at all."

By all accounts Marseille could yet make a move for the overrated (Bambi-on-ice look-alike when he runs with the ball) forward.

I seem to remember accusations towards us gooners of sour grapes when this tosser was sold to you. You just sat there with fingers in your ears not listening to anything we said about your latest sparkling £24 million quid toy, oh no we were just bitter weren't we? because deep down we didn't want to sell this lanky bone idle, offside dawdling, ego ridden, trouble making gob5hhite. No it was all us and not him wasn't it?. Well I'm not here to say told you so but it's never too late to apologise y'know chaps ;)

Work mate of mine, who happens to be a Gooner told me about Ade before we bought him and like you nikolaijns and other Arsenal fans I ignored the lot of you. Told you so I hear you say! Yup, I stand corrected - still not going to apologise though. (lol)

Hi Niko. Thanks for taking the time out to come over here and say I told you so. Hands up I didn't listen to what you Goons were saying at the time because I thought the way he was treated by you while he was still your player was disgusting, but in hindsight a lot of the accusations you made turned out to be true. I'll never forget how he ran the show in that game against Arsenal at Eastlands though, or that celebration, he will always be fondly remembered by me for that. I didn't have my fingers in my ears by the way, I needed them to type my responses. How does it feel to have finished behind City mate?;-)

nikolaijns, when oppo fans come on here I'll always have my fingers in my ears. I loved his celebration against you lot and your over-reactions to it, poor lambs. He can stay for me and knuckle down again as I believe he's still a good striker and its a new clean season for everyone. If he does go we'll certainly not abuse him like you lot did. That's life.

Yes of course niko, and I'm sure you did it out of your feelings of warmth and generosity towards our club.

I'd like to see Spurs come in for Adebayor. That'd be good for North London football. (cough!)
