'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clubs Poised for 1st July Transfer Torrent

The time for a good deal of frenzied summer transfer speculation is almost over. The main FIFA regulated European transfer window swings open this Friday...

There have been rumblings across Planet Blue over an apparant lack of activity at Eastlands apart from a number of released player confirmations.

The powerhouse likes of the German, Spanish, French, Italian and er, Scottish Leagues will join the English Premier League on Friday in being open for business. However, Premier League clubs have been able to confirm transfers between one another since last season's final whistle.

Blues can expect The Citizens to shortly back up established inquiries and offers that have been ongoing while the City squad recuperate from a wonderful first full season under Roberto Mancini's leadership.

Perhaps the most otherworldly aspect of this June has been seeing City repeatedly linked for players alongside the rival likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. City dining at the top table has been something to savour.

But now the need for a handful of high quality signings intensifies in advance of City's first ever Champions League campaign.

VMC will bring you the breaking transfer news as soon as we have it.

I see Man Ure are buying De Gayer. Is he butcher than Vanderarse?
jackblue
Dunno Jack, but what I do know is that he's costing the Rags roughly £18 mil more than Wandersfar did. It's all City's fault too don't ya know, distorting markets and all that malarky.
Bluedub
How could they have signed him before the window opens? Or is that a rhetorical question?
PhillyBlueMoon
He can sign Philly but he's not officially a low down dirty Rag until July 1st.
Bluedub
Well, he's now a rag in my book, regardless of when it's official. So, they've spent £50m on a mediocre defender, a winger that Villa no longer wanted, and a keeper who has a year in Spain with a team that dominated possession moving to a team with an aging defense that will give up a lot of shots. I thought there was no value in the market.
