Mancio Calls Off Sanchez Pursuit

Mancio Calls Off Sanchez Pursuit

City gaffer Roberto Mancini has called time on City's protracted dalliance with Udinese speedster Alexis Sanchez whilst knocking about in Italy...

In a move indicating that City will operate more reservedly this summer, the shrewd Blues boss told Sky Italia:

'I talked to Sanchez, he said he was willing to come to City...but after the last offer we are out of the race for the Chilean...'

Mancio went on to declare his faith in both Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez remaining at Eastlands this summer:

'Balotelli to AC Milan? For now, certainly not. In the future you never know...Tevez is a good player and I think he will remain at City...'

Mancini then announced his intention to bring in another forward:

'I have three strikers. We need another one.'

Who do you think Mancio will bid for? Give us your thoughts!

"I have three strikers. We need another one" - Good manager, poor mathematician ;)

I think it will get interesting next week. RM wants the new men in for pre-season so should we watch this space?

Erm...do you not think Mancini was trying to say something with his comment that he only has three strikers, no? Do you really think those five wasters have any place in City's plans? I think Bobby has his maths down perfectly ;)

Jo, Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Adebayor and Caicedo are not strikers, they are all dead weight who will be gone.

Caicedo is out of contract on July 1st - gone. Jo is usefull only as cat-food - gone. SantaCruz has cost more in medical bills than he did in transfer fee and wages - gone. Bellamy and Mancini hate each other, Gobby gobby gone gone. Adebayor? Why doesn't 'arry stick in a cheeky bid so he can be GONE?
