Cerci For City Talks Reports Radio Blu
The marvellously named Radio Blu in Tuscany are running a story this afternoon that Fiorentina winger Alessio Cerci has cut short his holiday to talk to Manchester City...
Italian sportswires are now picking up on the news.
The Citizens are reported to have tabled a €7 million bid with the 'Viola' for the 23 year old and both he and his agent are about to discuss personal terms with the English FA Cup winning Champions Leaguers.
Cerci, just shy of 6 feet tall is a quick footed dribbler who came up through AS Roma's ranks. Roberto Mancini rates him and his judgement is hardly likely to come into question this summer.

Just one point: NOBODY ever refers to Manchester City as The Citizens" (apart from some people in the press). Stop it.

it does not matter that much BUT City's nickname is THE CITIZENS....not Blues as Chelsea and Birmingham are known by that, and Sky Blues is the nickname of Coventry City.... as for the story dont much abouy the lad but if Mancini wants i say go get him....

Really don't want this guy, if we do manage to secure Nasri then that's our creativity issues resolved, so then we just need a speed merchant to replace SWP, and Cerci is no quicker or more talented that Johnson.
For the record, I've always quite enjoyed being a Citizen...

In Italy Mancini is known as having 'an eye for a player' meaning his transfer dealings are usually good. Not done bad for us either by my reckoning
