'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bye Bye Boateng

According to their official website Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Manchester City over the signing of German defender Jerome Boateng.

The 22-year-old will sign a four-year contract, however, even though no official figure has been announced the transfer fee is thought to be in the region of £18m.

Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger told the club's official website...

'Jerome Boateng is a young German international, who fits perfectly into the philosophy of FC Bayern.'

City signed Boateng from Hamburg for £10.4m prior to the World Cup last summer but he made only 14 Premier League starts for the club last season.

Good luck to him with BM.. just didn seem to work out for him at CITY and good business for us if we have ended up with an £8mil profit..... should keep la frog Platini happy.

Pity he spent most of the season out injured and never really seemed to get going after that. Still, we've made a profit and hopefully shut up Karl Heinz Ruminegge in the process. Result!

If that figure is true that would mean we've so far spent £13m this window and received £18m, £5mil profit and we've got a new CB and FB and lost one CB. Ruining football I tells ya.

Pity he didn't have enough time to prove himself nevertheless I wish the lad well at Bayern.
