Aguero & Nasri Could Be On Their Way Within Days

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini said he hopes to secure the signings of Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri within days.

Sergio Aguero has made his feelings clear about wanting to leave Atletico Madrid and with the Premier League beckoning the likeliest place for he 23-year-old Argentinean striker is Manchester City.

'At the moment I am waiting because if we lose Carlos, Aguero is a player that can play for Manchester City because he is young, because he is a good player like Carlos, he can score a lot of goals and can play with Mario (Balotelli), with Edin (Dzeko),' Mancini told Sky Sports News.

Asked if City were likely to make a bid for Aguero, Mancini said...

'It is probably yes. I think in this moment we only have to wait.'

Samir Nasri

Nasri is also highly regarded by City officials, especially Mancini and with the Frenchman stalling over a new contract at Arsenal the prospect of another top-drawer signing could be on the cards within days.

'Samir is under contract with Arsenal. Also for Samir it depends on many things,' added Mancini.

Asked if an offer has been made for Nasri, Mancini continued...

'I don't know in this moment, I don't know the situation but for Nasri it is difficult.'

'I hope that we can buy because we need other players and I hope that this player can arrive before the end of the month.'

I suspect something will happen on Nasri when both team get home from their tours. There is growing talk of Aguero. I like the look of this lad and when Argentinos come to England they always put a shift in. One notable exception was of course Juan Sebastian Veron!! Hope we don't sell Zabaleta to Roma though

If we sign Aguerro I'll be in dream land. With regards to Nasri though, I still feel that paying £20m for a player in the final year of his contract is excessive, even if Arsene is clinging onto the player with his fingernails. Good player with the potential to go on and become a great player, but let's not forget that he's only really had one truly great (half) season!
