Please Mr Redknapp, He's All Yours

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp knows a good player when he sees one and on this occasion his hunt for a good striker may be over with the possible signing of Emmanuel Adebayor.

Ade was shipped out on loan at Real Madrid for part of last season and with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini keen to move the 27-year-old on then Spurs may come to the rescue.

Speaking on Spurs' pre-season tour of South Africa 'Arry said...

'The chairman, Daniel Levy has been speaking about it, I am not sure if it will happen. He is a name (Emmanuel Adebayor) that has certainly been mentioned, certainly.'

'I spoke to the chairman about loaning the player and if we could work out a deal for him, I would like to bring him to the club.'

What about a permanent signing 'Arry?

Ade scoring and playing well...

Please Mr Redknapp, he's all yours - you won't regret it, honest!

You can have him, but not on loan.

Great signing, proven goal-scorer and ability and knows how to play the 1 man up front role due to his experience at Arse. Definetly has something to prove after two disappointing season's in the main and moving back to London could be just what he needs. Needs to get these stupid City wages out of his head and back into the real world. Guaranteed to start and could form a great partnership with VDV. £14m I've seen quoted seems a very fair price aswell!

I doubt he'd take the drop in wages that moving to Spuds will demand, but be happy to see the back of him if so, he fawned over Real, badmouthed Mancini and effectively badmouthed City, good riddance.

In our position we could do a lot worse and Harry normally manages the 'slightly unhinged' very well. Although as I said on the forum, the main stumbling block is nobody has ever or will ever take a £100k drop in wages for the sake of first team football. There's no possible way he'd fit into our wage structure unfortunately

I haven't published a 'tongue in cheek' article for ages.
