Johnno Goes Out For Game Time

Gifted yet surely cursed MCFC Academy graduate Michael Johnson has signed on for a season long loan for Sven-Goran Eriksson's Leicester City...

The 23 year old six footer from Urmston has come through serious injury crises that would have ended the careers of many players yet thanks to his determination and the unstinting support of the club and it's fans he has an opportunity now to begin to resurrect a career that still holds the potential of terrific promise.

How England could use an on song box to box midfielder with Johnno's engine in the future, let alone City.

Fair play to Svennis for giving Johnno a shout and here's to Michael returning to Carrington next summer in top shape. All at VMC wish him every success.

All the very best Johnno.

It would bring a tear to my eye to see this young man play a full season in a City shirt. Smiling. God speed MJ.

I hope it does him the world of good as Johnson on his day would fit right into our side. A box to box midfielder who can pass with the best of them. Such a shame about his injuries and purported life style.

I hate to say this, but I suspect this is the last we'll see of Johnson at City. I genuinely hope he can make a career out of football, but I fear his injuries have denied him the chance of ever making it at the very top of the game. Pity, he really did look the business when he burst onto the scene. Fingers crossed Sven can get him back up to speed.

Would rather have the Johnson from Sven's season than Milner or Barry to be honest. Not sure if he will find that level again but if he does, he could have a future with us. I trust Sven to try and get the best out of him.
