'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Open Training at the Etihad - 3 August 2011

The Etihad Stadium opens its doors for the first time ahead of the new season on Wednesday providing the fans with the opportunity not only to see their favourites in training mode, but also to present new signings Gael Clichy, Stefan Savic and Sergio Aguero to the expectant faithful.

Gates should be open from around 1230h. As susal there will be a program of entertainment hosted by Hugh Ferris, before the squad takes the tunnel a little before 1430h.

Once again entry is free via the level one turnstiles and around 20000 are expected to welcome the new heroes to our wonderful stadium.

There will be the usual attractions such as Moonchester, Moonbeam, football freestylers, renditions of Blue Moon and in addition there will be the chance for kids to play computer games as our new partnership with EA Sports is revealed. There will also be one or two competitions for quality prizes

So get yourselves and families along to welcome the new season...and while you are there take the opportunity to snap up a Wembley ticket for the Community Shield.

More details in respect of both can be found on www.mcfc.co.uk
