'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Engage The Brain Before Speaking Mario

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and gone and put his foot in it, AGAIN!

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia the 20-year-old Italian said...

'I am not well in Manchester, I don't like the city.'

'I'm happy with the coach and within the team, but you can't have everything in life.'

'I don't miss Milan; I miss Brescia, my home. I miss my family and my friends, but I think this experience in England will help me grow as an individual.'

Balotelli is refusing to make any guarantees about how long he will remain at the Etihad Stadium and admits he would consider joining Inter's rivals AC Milan at some point in the future.

'I don't know if I will stay until the end of my contract,' he added. 'I'm here for now and then we'll see.'

'AC Milan? It's a great club, one day it could happen.'

Come on Mario, engage the brain before speaking.

Never a dull momment with Signor Barwuah-Balotelli around!

Not really bothered how happy he is so long as he carries on his 'vs Inter' form. Give us a great season and up your resale value Mario!

I speak Italian and I have to say the translation is flawed - its made to sound stronger than it is. He says Manchester is "not to my taste" and later on he says "im happy in Manchester now - in the future, who knows" clearly the original translation was by some over zealous hack putting 2 and 2 together and getting 52 - thanks for linking the clip by the way - it just reinforces what ive always suspected of sensational journalism
kinkyisgod
Yeah, an Italian on another forum did a direct translation - misquoted, comments twisted, another day on the job for the talentless media hacks. Hope they all go out of business except for a few respectable papers like the Independent.

I knew it was a case of mistranslation. Anything that sells papers, right?

There is a an element of truth in it. He's still trying to court AC Milan at every opportunity so I don't think we've got a long term legend on our books here as he'll probably do a Ronaldo but sooner.

Thanks for the ACCURATE translation kinkyisgod ....

Nice one Kinky. The hacks always stir it up, but why oh why does he keep giving them copy?

F**k him off

Are you a City supporter Footballtaz1? Because whilst most City fans are a bit bemused by Balotelli, we can all see the amazing potential there and are expecting big things from him. It's our rivals who are the ones jumping on the "let's hate Balotelli" bandwagon, whipped up by the frenzied press hacks who love a good soap opera. As mentioned above, the quotes were embellished by the media and don't accurrately reflect what Mario actually said (Bit like Forlan "warning" Aguerro that he should have gone to Chelsea, only for it to emerge that the storry was totally made up!) So if you are City fan, then fair dues, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you're not then I'll assume your comments, like those of the vast majority of our detractors, are made out of fear and ignorance. Balotelli is a beast!

People shouldn't give him such a hard time, he comes out with crap and looks an idiot most the time but imagine yourself in your teens with all that money, all that hype and press and now he is 20 he has the option to do what he wants really. He is young and has a long way to go and fair play to speaking his mind but as he gets older he will what and when to say things. If i was in his position i doubt i would even be concentrating on my career with all that dosh, i wouldn't want to stay in england at all i think it's a very depressing country..
