Manchester City have confirmed the club's fourth signing of the summer and it's Timisoara's Costel Pantilimon who comes in to replace Villa's Seamus Given...

Pantilimon is a classic Roberto Mancini signing in that he is a 24 year old international with many more years to go on the clock ahead of upcoming financial regulations.

City are deadly serious in their intention to hit the ground running for the club's biggest season in decades. The aim is to have top quality depth in all positions before Swansea arrive in Manchester next week. Pantilimon was being monitiored by a host of established top table European clubs.
