Blanc On Nasri

Les Bleus coach Laurent Blanc has given his opinion over Samir Nasri's situation at L'Arsenal and the player's state of mind...

The shrewd France gaffer rates Nasri highly but has been largely unimpressed by the player's recent efforts for la republique:

'I hope that Samir, whether he stays with Arsenal or not, will play well for France, which was not the case in the last three fixtures.'

Blanc suggests that uncertainty over the midfielder's future could be affecting his performance but hints that he should pull his socks up:

'When you have the choice between Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Inter Milan, there are worse situations to be in. It should not unsettle the player's performance.'

Nasri is the subject of intense speculation in France over a proposed transfer from the Emirates to the Etihad.
