Mancio To Bench Aguero For Derby Debut

In line with his policy of bringing back players cautiously from injury, Roberto Mancini has revealed he will keep star signing Sergio Aguero in reserve on Sunday...

The dapper City gaffer is not one for cortisone injections for appearances it all costs and Aguero's post Copa America blistered feet are no exception:

'Sergio is okay...he is not 100% ready but he is fit to come on the bench.'

However, despite suggesting that neither Manchester club will be giving it both barrels on Sunday in line with Taggart's deliberations today, Mancio acknowledges the importance of the occasion:

'It is the first official match of the season. It is important because it is a derby and we want to win, like United. But I don't think the teams at the moment are one hundred per cent ready to play.'

Hardly class blisters as a major injury...lol He's right to introduce him from the bench though, he can come on fresh and bang in the 5th, 6th and 7th goals for us, with another clean sheet for Hart! ;)

Well, since sc**les won't be on the team anymore I'm no longer worried about our star players being injured by him. That said, keep him on the bench unless we need him.
