Nasri Medical Done And Dusted

Arsenal and France's Samir Nasri has completed his MCFC medical at Manchester's Bridgewater Hospital and should be unveiled at The Etihad Stadium on Wednesday...

Nasri ticks all the right boxes for a Roberto Mancini City signing. Another young international hungry for major honours is in the bag ahead of new financial regulations. The biggest bonus is that The Citizens are signing a Premier League and Champions League savvy footballer.

Ironically, 24 year old Nasri should be unveiled on Arsenal's Champions League qualifier D-Day in Italy.

Beleaguered manager Arsene Wenger had this to say about his fellow countryman tonight:

'Nasri trained this morning, but I knew before training. He didn`t know. The decision was made this morning just before training...I do not question Samir Nasri's commitment or professionalism because he was in training this morning.

'If I told him 'you come with us and play' he would have played like he did on Saturday but you wonder what kind of a commitment you can have...Football rules are made like that - that the player can be worth a lot of money today and nothing in six months.

'It doesn't look completely logical but, at the end of the day, of course, we are forced into a decision like that for psychological and financial reasons.'

Nasri will go straight into The Blues squad for the latest crunch clash against Spurs.

I wish him luck ...he needs to get more game time and I couldn't see it happening with us.

Good place for the young Belgian. Bolton has a very small squad so he will be sure to get plenty of games.

I see the pathetic press are still making up crap about the rags "attempting to hijack" Samir Nasri at the 11th hour. Wish they'd give it a rest, most observers can plainly see that Nasri will give us an added dimension and they clearly don't like it. Bienvenue a Manchester Samir!

Honestly i don't rate nasri that much, too inconsistent for my liking, he's just a v1.1 upgrade on malouda lol

Guess you're fortunate he's signed for us and not Chelsea then MTJ, wouldn't want any second rate players at the Bridge - only third raters like Malouda allowed...
