Offload On The Starboard Bow - First Up Adebayor

The Etihad Stadium door is being oiled tonight in preparation for the first of what is hoped will be a series of senior player departures...

Ta-ra then. Emmanuel Adeabyor's medical has been completed in London and he'll shortly be confirmed as a Tottenham Hotspur player on a season long loan following yet more tedious negotiation.

Adebayor signed for City and Mark Hughes just over two years ago from Arsenal for a fee of £25,000,000 and recently completed a loan spell at Real Madrid.

He scored 19 goals in 44 City appearances.

Arsenal's boo posse are going to busy this season.

Tottenham have now confirmed the loan deal is complete and the signing has gone through. He cannot face City on Sunday however.

Too bad they rolled over against the rags, they could have used him last Monday.

Adebayor will flop for them - he might start off well as he did for both ourselves and l'arse, but the weight of his own ego will always pull him down. I just hope he does enough this season to fool the Spuds into thinking he's worth signing permanently, as I do not want him back under any circumstances.

No it won't - I have it on good authority that we're going to move house whilst Adebayor is at summer camp - and we're not going to tell him!

Sure there'll be plenty to distract us Empty - like who will Abramovich get in to replace Villas Boas when he gets the chop.

Hahahaha! To fcb! As for Ade he is still a massive upgrade from our fearsome strike force. Watching Pav playing with the kids last night proved how badly we needed some new strikers. Must be seen as good bit of business if he does well for us if he comes good. GL in the CL boys! Tough group but very interesting.
