VMC Forum Man of The Match No.3 versus Spurs

Bosnian Berserker Edin Dzeko is the first Manchester City player to score four goals in a Premier League game. He's the VMCers Man of The Match from the Tottenham rout...

The 25 year old has now made 25 City appearances, 8 of them coming on as a substitute and has hit 13 goals.

Dzeko has benefitted greatly from a full pre-season with his team-mates. Pitchside at White Hart Lane, City coach David Platt sang the praises of the intelligent centre forward:

'Edin gets in there. His movement is very good, the way he manipulates the football, gets into position, scores dirty goals - scrambled goals. He couldn't get into the game so much last season due to the pace of English football, but the signs were coming.'

Our VMCers also made sure that Samir Nasri's superb debut came in for recognition alongside Gareth Barry's brilliant form.

The New VMC Man of The Season Format:

This season VMC will be running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man.

This way we'll get further accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.

I thought he was a terrible player and Mancini's worst buy? It will be funny to see the "big" clubs offering £50m for him in January only to be turned down by us.
