'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Video: Georgi Kinkladze Or David Silva

During the mid 90's Manchester City midfielder Georgi Kinkladze used to terrorise the opposition with his dribbles and amazing goals - a fans' favourite. Today, a sports journalist described David Silva as being one of the best midfielders in the world.

Given the choice between Georgi Kinkladze or David Silva who would you have in your team (sorry but you can't choose both) and why?

Let me help you out slightly...

Georgi Kinkladze

David Silva

I've decided it's only fair that Silva has two videos simply because Kinky's vid is nearly 10 minutes long.

This article coincides with our current front page poll question which asks...

Who is the most creative player City has ever had?

In all fairness I simply couldn't add every single nominees video as we'd be watching clips for an hour or so, therefore, in an attempt to speed up the process I've decided to slim down the choice. Of course you have the ability to vote using the poll question to the right hand side of this article.

dot to be Silva, as Kinkladze although a good player, was too much of a 'fancy dan' type of player and played for Georgi and not always for the good of the team, if the question was Silva or Ali Banarbia, that would be a difficult one even though Ali B was with us in a lower division he dii play in the champions league and won titles, whereas Kinkladze did not, although he was a good player, he was in the wrong team at the wrong time

Silva has to take it, we're playing in a different class altogether now and Silva is at the heart of it, and whilst Kladze was good, we were in a lower league playing sometimes dismal football, can't compare the two.

Our poll to the right in that illustrious company says it all. Yet Silva is a scrapper too and gets stuck right in. We have a steal at 26,000,000 who essentially delivered the FA Cup and a 3rd placed finish imho.

Kinky was brilliant and iconic yet never stood out when he moved to Ajax so I have a feeling he is one of those players who was amazing in a ***** team (he was well above our level, haha) but wouldn't look so great in an awesome team. Kinky was amazing to watch but in all honesty Silva is one a completely different level to him.

Various Ped Reports have documented my thoughts that Silva is the best player I've ever seen play for City. Re-visiting Kinky's videos was good but doesn't change my view.

To be fair to Kinkladze he didn't really want the move. Couple that with the fact he was bought to replace Jari Litmanen whose move to Barca collapsed and ended up staying. I would say Silvas all round game makes him No 1 for me. However, I have never witnessed close control on the run like Kinkladze used to have. Both geniuses.
